What does Laurax TB?
Laurax TB works on multiple levels simultaneously:
- Hygiene & antimicrobial: Propionic acid (E280) and dodecanoic acid (lauric acid) inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi and yeasts in drinking water and feed. This lowers germicidal pressure and protects the gastrointestinal tract.
- Absorption & metabolism: Monopropylene glycol provides readily available energy and supports energy metabolism. The emulsifier glyceryl polyethylene glycol ricinoleate improves the absorption of nutrients from the feed.
- Feed intake & well-being: The combination of menthol and flavorings increases the attractiveness of water and feed, which encourages voluntary intake – even under stress or at high temperatures.
How does it work?
Laurax TB delivers a combination of active ingredients via drinking water or feed:
Propionic acid (E280) is a widely used preservative that inhibits fungi and bacteria and protects the microbiological quality of water and feed.
Dodecanic acid (lauric acid) is a medium-chain fatty acid with potent antimicrobial activity, particularly against gram-positive bacteria and certain viruses.
Monopropylene glycol provides rapidly absorbable energy and supports metabolism, even under stress or disturbed feed intake.
Glycerylpolyethylene glycol ricinoleate acts as an emulsifier and increases the bioavailability of the other components.
Menthol and flavorings stimulate voluntary water and feed intake, enhancing overall nutrient utilization.
