What does Betacid® GM?
Betacid® GM supports the natural immune system and helps protect the intestinal barrier of poultry against harmful microorganisms.
In young animals, the product supports the development of the immune system; in older animals, it stimulates immune function. At the same time, it helps limit the growth and adhesion of pathogens in the intestinal tract.
By protecting the intestinal wall, Betacid® GM helps prevent digestive problems, diarrhea, and the loss of water and nutrients. The combination of functional ingredients also contributes to good zootechnical performance.
Field Trial with Betacid® GM
A field trial with Betacid® GM shows that various additives in the feed can be replaced: choline chloride, dried yeast cell walls, medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), and lactic acid.
This results in an economic benefit because feed costs decrease without negatively affecting performance.
How does it work?
Betacid® GM works through three different functional components:
- Broken-down yeast cell walls: These provide released and activated β-glucans and mannan oligosaccharides (MOS). The β-glucans support the immune system. MOS helps limit the growth and adhesion of pathogens in the intestinal tract, thereby supporting the protection of the intestinal wall.
- Natural betaine: Natural betaine is a second functional component of the formulation and, together with the other ingredients, contributes to zootechnical performance.
- Organic acids: Organic acids have an antimicrobial effect against Gram-negative bacteria, including E. coli and Salmonella.
Betacid® GM combines immune support, gut protection, and antimicrobial activity in a single formulation.

Storage Guidelines
- Use within 24 months after opening.
- Store in a dry, cool, and dark place in the original packaging.
