What does Micronutrients?
Florabet® Micronutrients are a range of five targeted correctors, each addressing a specific micronutrient deficiency. Micronutrients are essential for enzymatic processes, photosynthesis, cell wall formation and growth regulators – a deficiency at the right growth stage can affect the entire crop.
- Florabet® Zn: zinc activates growth regulators and promotes vitality and growth – essential in germination and early growth
- Florabet® Mn: corrects manganese deficiencies, increases nitrogen efficiency and supports balanced plant growth
- Florabet® Cu: copper is essential for chlorophyll formation and photosynthesis – critical in vegetative growth and fruit ripening
- Florabet® Mo: molybdenum is crucial for enzymatic processes – especially relevant in aging and ripening
- Florabore (B): boron is essential for cell wall formation and sugar transport – most critical in budding, flowering and fruit setting
How does it work?
Each Florabet® Micronutrient is a targeted foliar fertilizer that is rapidly absorbed through the leaves and directly corrects the specific deficiency:
Zinc (Zn) activates more than 300 enzymes and is involved in the production of auxins (growth hormones). Zinc deficiency leads to small leaves, short internodes and poor germination.
Manganese (Mn) plays a key role in photosynthesis (water oxidation in the chloroplast) and nitrogen metabolism. Manganese deficiency manifests itself in internode chlorosis in young leaves.
Copper (Cu) is essential for the formation of chlorophyll and lignin, and for enzymes involved in respiration. Copper is particularly important in fruit ripening and grain formation.
Molybdenum (Mo) is part of nitrate reductase, the enzyme that converts nitrate to ammonium. Without enough Mo, plants cannot utilize nitrogen efficiently – crucial in maturation.
Boron (B) is essential for cell wall formation, sugar transport through the phloem and pollen germination. Boron deficiency at flowering leads directly to poor fruit set and empty spikes.
