Glycoboost
Glycoboost is a liquid energy booster for dairy cattle during the transition phase and the first 100 lactation days. Via rumen-available sugars and natural betaine it reduces the negative energy balance and prevents ketosis, available as a standard version as well as a milking robot-compatible variant (without betaine).

What does Glycoboost?
Glycoboost is an energy booster specially developed for dairy cattle during the most critical period: the transition phase (3 weeks before calving) and the first 100 lactation days. It directly addresses the negative energy balance:
- Ketosis prevention: rumen-available sugars shorten negative energy balance and prevent ketosis
- Penile fermentation: natural betaine promotes microbial protein synthesis and increases the amount of DVE (digestible protein) from the rumen
- Higher feed intake: powerful flavoring that improves the intake of roughage and mixed rations
- MPG alternative: more palatable and effective than monopropylene glycol
How does it work?
Glycoboost works through two complementary components:
Tripe-available sugars (glycerol and sucrose) provide rapidly available energy to the rumen. Glycerol is a glucogen substrate that provides energy via gluconeogenesis in the liver, this shortens the negative energy balance and prevents ketosis. Sucrose stimulates rumen fermentation and improves palatability.
Natural betaine promotes rumen fermentation and microbial protein synthesis, providing more DVE from the rumen and better feed utilization.
Trial result: without an energy booster, 35% of animals suffer from ketosis. With a conventional energy booster such as MPG, this drops to 20%. With Glycoboost it drops further to 10% on average, an additional 10% reduction over MPG, proven over 5 farms.
