Glucamax®
Glucamax® is a liquid immunity booster for poultry based on hydrolyzed yeast cell walls containing activated β-glucans and mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS). It supports the development and activity of the immune system and helps prevent pathogens such as Salmonella and E. coli from crossing the intestinal barrier.

What does Glucamax®?
In young animals, it helps accelerate the development of the immune system; in older animals, it stimulates the immune response.
In addition, Glucamax® helps prevent pathogens such as Salmonella and E. coli from crossing the intestinal barrier and entering the bloodstream. In this way, it helps prevent nutrient loss and supports the animal’s overall health.
Better health and digestion, in turn, contribute to improved zootechnical performance.
Field Trial with Glucamax®
In a field trial with broiler chickens, feed was supplemented with Glucamax® and compared to standard feed. The chickens were immunologically stimulated with sheep red blood cells (SRBC), after which the immune response was measured on days 21 and 24.
The animals that received Glucamax® exhibited a significantly stronger primary antibody response. According to the brochure, this indicates that Glucamax® stimulates IgM production.
In my opinion, this is important information that should be prominently displayed on the product page: here, Glucamax’s key positioning (immune support) is backed up by a real-world trial.
How does it work?
Glucamax® works by breaking down yeast cell walls. Breaking down the yeast cell walls releases the functional components β-glucans and mannan oligosaccharides (MOS), which are then activated.
β-glucans play an important role in supporting the immune system.
MOS help prevent unwanted bacteria, such as Salmonella and E. coli, from crossing the intestinal barrier. As a result, Glucamax® combines targeted immune support with protection against pathogens.

This is also a key difference from Glucabet: Glucamax® is formulated much more specifically around the functional components derived from hydrolyzed yeast cell walls.
