We had scalding problems at the top of the corn silage every year. Since we have been using Jodosil NC at silage, that is a thing of the past and the cows eat the silage much more evenly.

What does Iodosil NC ?
Iodosil NC is a universal silage inoculant that preserves the quality of ensiled forage and prevents feed value loss. It is suitable for grass, corn and grains and can be mixed either on top or completely through the forage:
- Brooding prevention: reduces heating of the silage once it is exposed to air
- Feed value preservation: more stable silage with significantly less loss of feed value
- Higher feed intake: maintaining palatable rations increases feed intake
- Machine protection: non-corrosive formulation – safe for all your equipment
How does it work?
Iodosil NC works through three organic acids, each fulfilling a specific role:
Formic acid inhibits bacterial growth in the silage and slows fermentation leading to feed value loss.
Acetic acid inhibits bacterial growth as well as yeast and mold growth – crucial for stability when cutting the silage.
Propionic acid specifically targets yeast and mold formation, the main causes of visible scalding and loss at the top of the silage.
The non-corrosive formulation makes Jodosil NC safe for use with standard agricultural machinery and distribution systems – no deterioration of metal parts.
Composition
Iodosil NC contains organic acids:
- Formic acid: inhibits bacterial growth
- Acetic acid: inhibits bacterial growth, yeast and mold formation
- Propionic acid: prevents yeast and mold growth
Non-corrosive formulation – safe for machinery and materials.

Storage
