What does Grovax®?
Grovax® supports and optimizes intestinal health in monogastric animals (pigs and poultry). The various ingredients work together and stimulate a wide range of physiological and microbiological processes in the intestines.
Specifically, Grovax® provides:
- Antimicrobial activity: inhibits the growth of harmful gram-positive bacteria
- Reduced infection pressure: prevents pathogens from crossing the intestinal barrier
- Improved intestinal integrity: strengthens tight junctions of intestinal epithelial cells
- Increased performance: improves feed efficiency and daily growth
- Improved manure quality: reduces diarrhea and fecal contamination of eggs
How does it work?
Grovax® works through a synergy of four active component groups, each addressing a different link in intestinal health.
Organic acids and MCFAs lower the pH in the gastrointestinal tract, reducing the opportunity for harmful bacteria to grow.
Essential oils (oregano and garlic) have proven antimicrobial activity and stimulate digestion.
Butyrate monoglycerides nourish intestinal epithelial cells and strengthen the intestinal barrier from within – this supports tight junctions and reduces the permeability of the intestinal wall to pathogens.
The combined action creates a stable, balanced intestinal flora that consistently ensures optimal intestinal health.
Composition
Grovax® contains a blend of natural ingredients:
- Organic acids and medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA) – including propionic acid, formic acid, C8, C10 and C12
- Essential oils – oregano and garlic
- Butyrate monoglycerides – slow-release butyrate for optimal intestinal wall support
(Grovax® Dry contains the same active components in dry form).
