Anyone who wants to start using Ruval or Ruval Plus wants to know one thing above all else: how do I go about implementing this on my farm?
A liquid supplement should be easy to dissolve, safe to store, and fit seamlessly into the feeding system. Especially when you use Ruval for rumen optimization in dairy or beef cattle, its application must be reliable and practical in daily use.
Jodoco therefore offers various options for customers to get started: storage in silos, delivery in IBCs, or bulk delivery for companies that handle larger volumes.

Not sure which storage solution is best for your business? In the video below, you can see how Ruval is stored and used in a silo. This will give you a clear picture of the installation, ease of use, and practical application on a dairy or beef cattle farm.
Why do livestock farmers choose Ruval?
Ruval was developed as a liquid supplement to support rumen function in cattle. The product is suitable for use in diets for dairy and beef cattle and is used to support protein intake and rumen activity.
For livestock farmers, it’s not just about the product’s composition, but also about ease of use. After all, a product that is nutritionally beneficial must also be practical for the farm. That’s why the form of storage is important.
IBCs containing Ruval or Ruval Plus can be supplied. A minimum of 5 IBCs per delivery should be ordered here. Own IBCs can also be filled. This is a bulk delivery of 25 tons. In consultation with Jodoco, a pumping system can be provided for emptying the IBCs. Below is a principle sketch.
Option 1: Store Ruval in a silo
For companies that regularly use Ruval or Ruval Plus, storing the product in a silo is often the most practical solution.
A silo offers several clear advantages:
- greater storage capacity;
- fewer manual tasks;
- smooth supply and metering;
- suitable for regular use;
- well-organized inventory at the company.
In certain situations, Jodoco can provide pre-financing for the silo solution. The purchase price will be offset later when purchasing Ruval or Ruval Plus. This makes the transition to a permanent storage solution more accessible.
Option 2: Start with IBCs
Not every business wants to start with a silo right away. For livestock farmers who want to gain some experience with Ruval first, IBCs can be a good solution. Ruval and Ruval Plus can be delivered in IBCs. A minimum order of 5 IBCs per delivery applies. You can also have your own IBCs filled. In that case, the order is a bulk delivery of 25 metric tons.
IBCs are particularly useful when:
- you want to start on a smaller scale first;
- you want to remain flexible;
- there is not yet a permanent silo setup in place;
- if you want to use Ruval at multiple locations;
- if you want to test the application in practice first.
Pump system for safe and easy use
When handling liquid products, emptying IBCs is a key consideration. Upon request, Jodoco can provide a pumping system. This makes unloading and applying Ruval easier, safer, and cleaner. A good pumping system helps to:
- to minimize spills;
- to prevent manual lifting or pouring;
- to work more accurately;
- to make the daily routine go more smoothly.
This is especially convenient when used regularly.
Which solution is right for your business?
The best choice depends on the size of your business, your consumption, the available space, and your feeding method. Use this simple guideline:
Choose IBCs when:
- you want to get started in an accessible way;
- you want to gain some experience first;
- your usage is still limited;
- you want to remain flexible in terms of storage and use.
Choose a silo when:
- you regularly use Ruval or Ruval Plus;
- you want to reduce the amount of manual work;
- you process larger volumes;
- if you are looking for a permanent and efficient storage solution.
Which solution is right for your business?
Getting started with Ruval doesn’t have to be complicated. Depending on your business, you can choose between silo storage, delivery in IBCs, or bulk delivery using your own IBCs.
Jodoco works with you to find the most practical solution, including any pre-financing, pumping systems, and integration into your daily operations.
